This video shows violence that is shocking. If you have children watching please make them leave the room. This is a very disturbing police brutality video to show the extreme force used by the police department and the injustice that has been done to this man. |
October 8th of 2005 Robert Davis was a victim of Police Brutality the video link below shows the beating and a bit of details on this event. This is very sad and disturbing footage. This is to show the how the New Orleans Police Department was out of hand. Robert Davis video showing him beaten by the New Orleans Police & FBI. Robert Davis was being arrested for public intoxication on Conti Street in the French Quarters by two New Orleans Police Officers. ( Robert Davis is said to not even be a drinker. There was no evidence that this man was even drinking! He just asked an officer what time the curfew was and that leads to the beating of an innocent man by the New Orleans Police Department. American Police Brutality is very common and things of this sort happen daily in America! |
Robert Davis was Beaten by 3 New Orleans Police Officers. The beating was even caught on video. If you wish to see videos of police brutality to get an idea of what we are talking about click the play button but, keep in mind it is very upsetting and a sad thing to watch. We did not add the end part that shows him laying in a pool of blood. I feel that this video is enough to get the idea of the event and show what took place. |
A number of other officers joined in on the arrest and at one point even 2 FBI Agents were involved in the beating of this victim. He showed no signs of aggression or resistance toward the police officers. The New Orleans Officers pulled him to the ground then punched and kicked him in the face while he was handcuffed and defenseless. They beat him so bad that in the video you can see a pool of blood on the pavement from his injuries.
There are bars and restaurants all around that area that had recently reopened after Hurricane Katrina so you can imagine that there were witnesses. The 3 New Orleans Policemen pleaded not guilty but, the video tape says it all. The three officers were suspended and charged with battery.
The beating took place on a Saturday Night in Bourbon Street. The video clearly shows police brutality. During the beating there was a white lady in the crowd yelling to the officers, "The man didn't do anything Stop." The officers told her if she did not leave she would be arrested too. There was also a man that tried to help and as you see the officers would not stop with the beating. Also during the video they kept telling Robert Davis to turn over and he could not. He told them he could not turn over. At the time one of the officers seemed to have his knee on Robert Davis so he could not turn over. At the end of the beating there was even other videos and photos that showed poor Mr. Robert Davis laying in a pool of his own blood. This man did nothing to deserve this and these officers were inhumane!
For these officers to have beaten a 64 year old man this way they had to be heartless. When I saw this video it made me so mad at the COPS in it and I felt so badly for that man. There is something in that video that made me wish to look into it and find out who he was and what had happened to him. I want now to be the voice for these victims of such terrible crimes and make the public aware of such injustices.
